Culturally Relevant Mindfulness

As we realize that Mental Health Care is a primordial component for our well being, we may find that conventional therapy may not consider in entirety our beliefs, and cultural worldview.

It was from a personal need for a practice that included Ritual, Inquiry, and Meditation, that I created a model ground in Ancestral Medicine, inspiring our current times.

  • Speaking Engagements

We have a collection of talks to choose from, if you would like to have a Curandera speak in your class or workplace. Some of the most popular talks are: Your Body in Capitalism, and Keep Your Check and Keep Your Soul.

  • Team Building Workshops

Work is a big part of our lives, we should feel as safe, as vulnerable, and as human as possible in the workplace. Having a workshop like Courageous Conversations, can elevate the spirit and improve the communications of your team.

“I reached out to Alma Rosa when I was facing a personal challenge that left me feeling real existential dread. Her initial response immediately calmed me, helping me feel accompanied even across the distance.”

Team Building Workshops

“I had the pleasure of being part of one of the earliest iterations of Alma Rosa’s A Year of Risks Class and it was a truly transformative experience for me.

I was drawn to the class because I knew I needed to make many significant changes in my life but I really did not know where to begin or how to sift through the emotional chaos I always seemed to be in at that time. Alma's thoughtful questions and careful guidance supported clarity and courage and helped me articulate where I was and where I needed to be. I could never have made the recent changes in my life had I not participated in Alma's class.

Alma brings inspiring spiritual insight grounded in somatic wisdom. Through meditation, guided journaling and conversation, Alma creates a setting where one can reflect and share in a deeply meaningful and well-supported space.”

Ritual Design

“My session with Alma Rosa was transformative: she leads with such compassion, creativity, and deep listening. She instantly picked up on small cues from me that I wasn’t even aware of, shaping and guiding my session with her to connect me deeply with my own culture and cultural practices while introducing me to her spiritual expertise. It’s helped me make sense of the crisis I was facing, tap into something far beyond me, and ultimately move through spiritually transformed”
